On Tour in Western Canada 🍁

...and on being receptive like a tree
1

Hi friends and nature lovers,

Happy spring! I’m back in British Columbia enjoying the very first of the salmonberries - one of my favorite berries and, interestingly, the first plant that I ever plugged into a synthesizer.

Next month sees me on the road in Western Canada for the first time where I’ll be hosting Field Trips in public parks. These are delightful and intimate gatherings in which we collect plants and fungi, put on headphones, and plug them into synthesizers to create a live, ambient music concert from the bioelectric fluctuations of the living world. Please come if you’re in the area.

🗓️ Field Trips – Canada (July 2025):

  • July 13: Kelowna

  • July 15: Nelson

  • July 17: Calgary

  • July 19: Saskatoon

  • July 20: Winnipeg

A recent field trip on Salt Spring Island 💚

And a special bonus this week, I did a longer form interview with the kind folks at Kolapse magazine in which we dive into the roots of this practice of biosonification and what it means for humans right now. You can have a listen to the full thing here.

Thanks for being here, and I’ll see you soon 🌳
