A Plant Meditation to Reconnect with Nature

Four minutes with a red campion flower in London

Hi friends!

Thanks for being here with me on Substack. This is a new journey and I’m so excited to be sharing moments like these. Recorded at the OmVed Gardens in London last spring, just as the sun was setting in early May, I plugged into a red campion flower and made music with its changing bioelectric activity. This short video shares a thought experiment. What would it be like to be a plant? To have green skin? To EAT sunlight?

I find that sometimes this challenge of trying to step outside my normal human consciousness and open my mind to other ways of being can be… relaxing. Almost like I’m letting go of some of the baggage of being in this particular body and reconnecting with a deeper way of being. And I love having a live, bioelectric soundtrack on these journeys.

Please find a comfortable position in which you can close your eyes. Relax, find your breath, and press play.

Questions? I’ve recently posted my Field Guide which is my attempt to explain how this works and what it means. And by far the best way to support this little publication is to subscribe 🙏🏽
