I’m excited to be here on substack and able to share demos and experiments with a close community. Social media just never felt like the place. So thanks for being here.
Over the last year I’ve been traveling around the world playing mushroom (and plant!) music in churches. What started out as a fun one-time idea has now turned into a ‘thing’ and one of my favorite ways to share my work and ideas. There’s just something about a big, old church that instantly creates an awareness and attention that’s conducive to exploring consciousness and connection. In each location I collaborate with a different constellation of scientists, poets, artists and musicians (and fungal and floral friends of course). Here are some of my favorite moments from the last year or so. I especially love the last track with the pink oyster mushrooms and the organ ✨
I’ll be releasing this record for Earth Day in April, but very happy to share the first mixes here. I’ve put the location of each recording the name of each track. Enjoy!
Track 1 ABOVE: Dahlia (Campbell River) feat Chris Gestrin. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and relax into the vibrations of a flower…
Paid subscribers and research associates, scroll down to hear demos of the whole record! I’ll be sharing all sorts of fun demos and live recordings here. Your support means the 🌍 to me xoxo
